The Roman-style humeral veil is made of ivory Winchester brocade (100% viscose), with a machine embroidered eucharistic symbol in the sunburst IHS form. It is bordered with narrow wavy gold gallons, and features a pair of ornate gold-plated clasps. Lined in gold-yellow cotton.
The white humeral veil is always used for Benediction or for carrying the Blessed Sacrament in processions well as during High Mass by the sub-Deacon in the traditional rite.
A pocket is sewn into the lining for the priest's hands.
