The black humeral veil is not used in the Roman rite, but the Dominican rite makes use of it at solemn Requiem Masses. This roman-style humeral veil is made of black Winchester brocade (100% viscose), with a machine embroidered eucharistic symbol in the sunburst IHS form. It is bordered with narrow wavy gold gallons, and features a pair of ornate gold-plated clasps. Lined in black cotton.
A pocket is sewn into the lining for the priest's hands.
