Crotalus, wooden clapper

The crotalus is a wooden clapper used to replace bells after the Gloria on Maundy Thursday to the Gloria of Easter Vigil. It is used during the Triduum liturgies.  

This high quality crotalus is made of sonorous wood and makes a loud clapping sound.
